its only a psychological thing to deal with
instead of preparin for a 'product requirement document' review meeting, i got myself into typin this post out of my head to here.
a colleague has glucoma.lets say tom. he has had 4 surgeries in last year or so. condition is not improvin.he knows he is going to go blind sometime. he can c now. he will go blind later.i enquired about his eyes and he told me what he is goin thro.a few remarks that got to me were 'i dont take comfort in hope or empathy.' 'i feel better if i can understand what is happening to my eye'.
'blindness is only a psychological thing to do deal with'.
a few days later under a lunch table canopy. 'so tom whats plan for the weeknd?' 'i may go surfing if weather is good'. i smile at him and he smiles back. i wonder how it would be to be in his shoes,in his position.
